Hidden Champion 2022/2023 and 2024/2025
in the field of sustainability consultancy.

In December 2023, the Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Management und Beratung (WGMB) recognised us once again as a 'Hidden Champion' in recognition of our high-quality consultancy services. The 'Hidden Champion' award has been presented nationwide since 2003 and is the longest-running seal of quality for consulting companies in Germany. Companies cannot apply for the award. Pre-selection is made exclusively on the recommendation of an independent panel of experts from academia and industry, and on the basis of preliminary empirical studies carried out by the WGMB. The WGMB then conducts a detailed, structured survey of around 1,000 managers from large and medium-sized companies to identify the Hidden Champions — highly specialised consulting firms that are not widely known to the general public. They are all recognised by their clients as having a higher level of expertise in their specialist area than the three major consulting firms, McKinsey, BCG and Bain.

The sustainability consulting discipline includes advice on sustainability strategy, sustainability management, climate strategy, climate reporting, and climate risks. We are ranked first in this discipline, ahead of consulting firms such as Oliver Wyman, the Boston Consulting Group, Accenture and Deloitte. In the latest survey, our clients emphasised our innovative thought leadership, teamwork and communication skills (especially at specialist and management level) and broad expertise in sustainability issues in particular. Top Consultant
2022, 2023 and 2024.

In June 2024, we received the Top Consultant Award for the third consecutive time at the German SME Summit organised by compamedia GmbH and WGMB. This prestigious award, which recognises excellence in consulting for medium-sized companies, was presented for the 15th time.

For the Top Consultant award, the Bonn-based Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Management und Beratung (WGMB) examines German consulting firms annually. The study's main criterion is a survey of medium-sized companies that have previously worked with the participating management consultancies. They comment on various aspects, including the professionalism of the consultants, their satisfaction with the consulting services, and whether they would recommend the consultancy to others. Having met the high criteria for the second consecutive year, we are still recognised as one of the best SME consultancies in Germany.
