Stefan has more than 15 years of experience in operational and strategic business development. He has worked in various functions and divisions in both international corporate structures and in the private equity environment. The focus of his work was on the development and transformation of organizational units and companies with a focus on marketing and sales, operations, innovation management and corporate transformation. Most recently, he worked as a management consultant, particularly in the fields of strategy consulting, organizational development and international cooperation.

Stefan is Executive Director Operations and, as a member of the Executive Board, is responsible for the strategic and operational development of Sustainable.

Laura has 10+ years of experience in advising and supporting companies on all aspects of sustainability. In various roles, she has supported companies of different sizes and industries as well as corporate consortia in strategy development and implementation, particularly on the topics of climate protection, circular economy and sustainability communication.

Before joining Sustainable as a Director, Laura worked for many years as a strategy consultant at Accenture, was Managing Director of a software provider for supply chain transparency solutions, headed the Sustainability Competence Center at GS1 Germany, and worked at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy.

Markus has been advising companies on energy, climate and sustainability issues for over 10 years. From 2007 to 2013, Markus was project manager for the development of national and international climate protection projects based on the Gold Standard, VCS, CDM or JI. Since 2010, Markus has also been carrying out assessments of climate protection projects for investors, plus the quality standards CCBS, Social Carbon and Plan Vivo. Since 2011, support for industrial companies covered by the EU Emissions Trading Scheme has been part of the scope of advice on compliance strategies, allocation applications, emissions reporting and capacity expansions.

With regard to sustainability, his focus is on advising companies on the development of 2-degree compatible climate strategies for greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with GHG Protocol Scope 1-3, calculation and assessment of carbon footprints, Advising companies and investors on sustainable finance through climate impact assessment, industrial companies in EU emissions trading, CDP consulting (climate change, supply chain and water), advising companies on the introduction of data management, implementation of CSR reporting obligations and the development of control instruments for climate management. The development of climate protection projects and the sourcing of CO2 certificates for the climate neutrality of companies as well as the preparation of analyses of the market for the voluntary compensation of GHG emissions complete his consulting profile.

Project management comprises project planning, control and management and includes communication with customers as a key account. Markus uses specific methods and management knowledge for project implementation in accordance with customer requirements.

Caro initially studied Business Administration in her Bachelor's degree and Statistics in her Master's degree at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. During her subsequent career start as a data scientist at mayato GmbH, she focused on setting up and developing real best practices. She worked with clients such as Miele, Deutsche Bahn, VW and various medium-sized companies.

Caro has been working in consulting for 10 years and in the field of digitalization with a focus on data and AI for 12 years. Most recently, she was Managing Director of the Positive Thinking Company as a management consultant in C-level consulting.

She works across all industries and sees digitalization as a universally applicable tool. In doing so, she always ensures a good translation between strategy and specific work packages on the one hand and between business problem and tech solution on the other. It is important to her that digitalization always means collaboration - to create a culture in which everyone is happy to contribute and get involved

Her focus at sustainable is on combining the twin transformations of sustainability and digitalization. She sees digitalization as a tool for increasing sustainability.

Christian leads the climate management and climate strategy team at sustainable. His core topics include the development and implementation of climate strategies according to the standards of the Science-Based Targets initiative as well as the recording, balancing and monitoring of emissions in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. Christian also supports clients in identifying suitable emission reduction measures and defining KPIs and governance structures to ensure that targets are achieved. His work also includes designing and conducting workshops and training courses for managers as well as coaching CR departments on greenhouse gas accounting, climate strategies and climate management. He manages projects in these areas, acts as an expert and is available to clients as a key account manager. His clients come from industry, trade and the technology and textile sectors, among others. He has several years of professional experience in project and quality management as well as in technical process development and has also been involved in EcoDesign development processes.

Since 2003, Felix has been advising industrial companies, project developers and investors on CO₂ markets and climate strategies. Using his many years of practical experience supporting plant operators within the European Emissions Trading System, he develops strategies for dealing with CO₂ costs in collaboration with clients. He has supported numerous climate protection projects in obtaining certification according to international standards (CDM, JI, Gold Standard) and has developed new methods for them. Felix develops climate strategies based on the greenhouse gas balances of companies and products, and advises clients on the opportunities and risks of carbon markets. He held a management position at a leading consulting firm, expanding the international project business and establishing a branch office in Turkey. He currently oversees climate strategy projects and business development related to climate change solutions in agriculture and natural carbon sinks.

Daniela completed her doctorate in Climate Smart Agriculture at the University of Bonn and Forschungszentrum Jülich. Her research covered sustainable development strategies in Ethiopia, which included basic sanitation, waste management, food security, climate change adaptation and mitigation, and carbon sequestration in agricultural soils. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at the University of Costa Rica and her Master's degree in Environmental Protection and Agricultural Food Production at the University of Hohenheim, Germany.

After her academic education, Daniela gained extensive experience as a sustainability analyst and consultant at ClimatePartner. There she specialized in greenhouse gas accounting and mitigation measures for the food and agriculture sector, following the GHG Protocol for land and non-land sector activities. She has played an active role in research and development, particularly in the calculation of greenhouse gas emissions at farm level using primary data for agricultural products. Daniela has been active in disseminating knowledge on land use change, emissions from land management and sustainable agricultural practices through internal trainings and external webinars.

Their focus at sustainable is on providing accurate and effective decarbonization strategies for clients engaged in land-based activities. This is done through the development and implementation of climate strategies, reduction scenarios and regenerative agriculture projects as part of SBTi FLAG and GHG Protocol Land Sector and Removals Guidance.

Martin has a degree in technical environmental protection engineering from the Technical University of Berlin and has worked on many different sustainability topics during and after his studies.

One of his main focuses is the linking of economic and ecological indicators, e.g. in the calculation of the "true costs" of agricultural products (true cost accounting). In the past, Martin spent five years working intensively in a nature conservation organization on the topics of biodiversity, land competition, deforestation, climate change, microplastics and water scarcity.

Methodologically, Martin works with ecological sustainability assessments such as the life cycle assessment (LCA), the water footprint, the greenhouse gas balance or the natural capital assessment. He also deals with sustainability methods that go beyond the environmental area, such as social and economic sustainability assessments (LCC, SLCA, LCSA).

Multi-year professional experience as a project manager and R&D manager in the fields of nature-based solutions, soil carbon, soil fertility, climate resilience, regenerative agriculture and agroforestry.

Rainer leads the development of customized products, models and projects based on current scientific principles. His focus is on carbon storage in soil and biomass and how it can be captured in climate protection projects. Rainer uses his practical experience with farmers and local organizations to implement such projects in a long-term and feasible manner.

Another area of work is the planning and implementation of international on-site sampling campaigns as part of MRV or soil fertility assessments, often combined with on-site training for sustainable agriculture measures.

Alexander has many years of professional experience in several management consultancies, including international ones. After studying law at the University of Vienna, he specialized in advising companies in the areas of environmental law, energy law and employee protection law. Alexander's work also included the communication of environmental statements in the context of new regulatory requirements as well as issues relating to sustainability regulation and assisting companies with the implementation of the EU Taxonomy Regulation.
