Emissions. Necessity and challenge.

In view of the major challenges posed by climate change, companies increasingly have a responsibility to make their contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This responsibility is not only demanded by regulatory requirements, such as the CSRD, but also increasingly by stakeholders such as customers, consumers and investors.

The decarbonization of the supply chain is a key lever for achieving climate targets. This is because a large proportion of emissions (e.g. Scope 3.1) are in the upstream supply chains, which means that purchasing and associated functions in companies play a crucial role.

Decarbonization of product groups.

In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the purchased goods and services along your supply chain, specific measures must be derived and implemented, as the reduction potential varies depending on the product group. For successful decarbonization, we work with you to identify relevant product groups and derive reduction measures. We accompany you during these change processes and support you with concrete implementations.

On the way to decarbonizing your supply chain, we work very closely with you and relevant stakeholders (e.g. purchasing, engineering / product development and operations) to derive effective levers and measures tailored to your company to reduce greenhouse gas emissions for relevant product groups.

In concrete terms, we support you in prioritizing product groups, conduct deep-dive workshops to derive measures, calculate the reduction potential of these measures and develop concrete decarbonization strategies. We also ensure that these measures and strategies are anchored and implemented in your company's purchasing processes, structures and systems.

We actively support you in organizational change processes and offer your stakeholders appropriate training and coaching to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

In order to make emissions transparent and sustainably implement decarbonization strategies along the supply chain, particularly close cooperation with your company's partners and suppliers is essential.
