What are Scope 1
& 2 emissions?

The greenhouse gas emissions associated with your company's corporate carbon footprint are categorized into Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions according to the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard. This categorization makes it possible to distinguish between direct and indirect emission sources to ensure that they are not covered by companies in the same scope.

Scope 1 emissions are therefore those caused directly by your company (e.g. by energy sources such as natural gas, coolants, radiators or company vehicles), while Scope 2 emissions are emissions caused indirectly by your company (mainly purchased energy such as electricity).
